Citrus growers meeting in ADAVO 2026

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, another traditional gathering of citrus growers took place, attended also by organizations from Prague and Brno. We met once again at the Adavo nursery, and attendance was even higher than last year. It’s clear that interest in citrus is growing. The discussions about cultivation, the exchange of experiences, and the sharing of botanical materials were so engaging that several hours flew by in the blink of an eye. And I can say that some of the discussions were so engaging that they’re continuing online. I’m already looking forward to the next gathering.

Citrus growers meeting in ADAVO 2025

On Saturday 22.3.2025 took place the traditional meeting of citrus growers in the ADAVO horticulture. Around 50 citrus enthusiasts from all corners of the Czech Republic gathered. As always, everything took place in a friendly atmosphere full of exchange of experience, grafts and other growing material. Many of growers could not resist and bought more trees for their collection.

ADAVO Horticulture was established in its current form in 2010 as a company dedicated to growing and selling balcony, citrus and adaptive plants including sea buckthorn. From the beginning, it was supported by the citrus community in the country and soon expanded its citrus plant offerings to an assortment of over 200 species, varieties and hybrids

ADAVO offers 2-3 year old plants grafted onto Citrumelo Swingle 4475 or Poncirus trifoliata. Prices are reasonable by European standards, size is variable depending on seasonal availability. You may be lucky enough to get a large well-grown plant or a small one that falls a little short of expectations. The main advantage of ADAVO is its wide range, even with a selection of poorly available varieties, and its availability throughout most of the year.

I have personally been to ADAVO many times and the approximately two dozen plants in my collection come from this garden shop.
